Sebastián Patiño obtained his law degree from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City, and he is currently pursuing the Executive MBA at IPADE.
He is specialized in Mexican social security law, with a wide range of experience including litigation, consulting services, construction law advisory related to social security compliance, and day-to-day corporate matters exclusively linked to social security and pensions. Sebastián is a Partner of Consultores y Abogados en Seguridad Social, S.C. (CASS Abogados), a top-tier boutique law firm founded in 1985.
Sebastián is member of the Mexican Bar Association, Illustrious and National Association of Lawyers of Mexico, International Association of Lawers, General Council of Mexican Advocacy, and ANADE (National Association of Corporate Counsels), being the youngest member in the governing board of the latter.
Sebastián has been Professor of Social Security Law in educational institutions such as Universidad Panamericana, Universidad La Salle, UNAM, Universidad Anáhuac, Universidad Iberoamericana, and Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. He has published several articles and has been a speaker on social security matters in national and international forums.
